What is the Total Rewards Payment Card?

The Total Rewards Payment Card is a physical card that you will use to earn Reward Credits* while making purchases at participating Las Vegas merchants. This offer is not a MetaBank product or service nor does MetaBank endorse this offer.

What is the play by TR app?

The play by TR app** is your portal to Caesars Entertainment gaming and resort destinations worldwide. Explore our hotels, resorts, shows, restaurants and nightclubs and create unique experiences wherever you are, whenever you want. You can link the Total Rewards Payment Card to the play by TR app** and earn Rewards Credits* on every purchase transaction made at a participating merchant.

Do I need to download the play by TR app**?

Yes, to activate your Total Rewards Payment Card, you must link it to the play by TR app**. You will also use the app to link your funding source (credit or debit card). The name on the funding source must match the name on your Total Rewards Account.

Where is the Total Rewards Payment Card functionality located within the play by TR app**?

It is located under the "Payment Card" tab. Third party fees and standard message and data rates may apply.

$2,000 is the daily transaction limit on the Payment Card.

Where do I pick up my Total Rewards Payment Card?

A Total Rewards Payment Card can be picked up at any any Total Rewards Center in Las Vegas.

How do I activate my Total Rewards Payment Card?

  1. Open, or Download the play by TR app** from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Once logged in, click "Payment Card" in the Profile section of the play by TR app**
  3. Follow the prompts to link your Total Rewards Payment Card to the play by TR app**
  4. Add a credit or debit card as a funding source to begin earning Reward Credits* at participating merchants
  5. Note: The name on the funding source must match the name on your Total Rewards Account.

How do I use the Total Rewards Payment Card?

When you are ready to pay, use the app** to make sure your Total Rewards Payment Card is unlocked and will be accepted at the merchants by viewing Participating Locations within the app.

Simply swipe to pay at the participating merchants on the list in your app and sign the credit card slip. The Reward Credits* earned will be added to your account within 48 hours.

At any time you can lock and unlock the card (for added security), check your Reward Credit® balance and see your purchase history including the Reward Credits* earned within the app. Please note that the Total Rewards Payment Card automatically locks after each purchase and must be unlocked either by using the app or by clicking on the link sent to your phone via text before the next purchase.

What should I do if I lose my Total Rewards Payment Card?

First make sure your card is locked by using the play by TR app** to lock the card:

  1. Choose Account Manager from the home page
  2. Click on the TR Payment Card and then Deactivate Your Card
  3. Go to the Total Rewards Center and request another card.

Next, link the new card to your play by TR app**:

  1. Choose Account Manager from the home page
  2. Click on Add a TR Payment Card
  3. Scan the QR code or enter the card number manually

Where can I use the Total Rewards Payment Card?

You can use your Total Rewards Payment Card at all merchants listed in the app**. Login to your app and click Locations to Pay. This will show you all the merchants that are participating in the program.

What happens if I remove my Total Rewards Payment Card from the play by TR app*?

If you remove your Total Rewards Payment Card from the play by TR app** you will no longer be able to use this card to earn Reward Credits* if it is not associated with a Total Rewards account. You will have to obtain a replacement card that will need to be linked to the app in order to continue to make purchases.

What if I need to return merchandise?

If you wish to return products originally purchased with the Total Rewards Payment Card to the merchant where they were purchased for a refund, you should present to the merchant the Total Rewards Payment Card used to make the purchase. We will reverse the underlying transactions against your linked funding sources which funded the purchase. This means that we will reverse any charges against your associated funding instrument relating to the returned products. In addition, if you earned any Reward Credits® as a result of the original purchase, these will also be reversed. Should this give rise to a negative balance on your Reward Credits* account, we reserve the right to charge your associated funding instrument (eg credit or debit card) to the value of this negative balance at the appropriate prevailing value of the Reward Credits®.

What happens if I make a return at a different store than I made the purchase?

To do a proper return of merchandise purchased with your Total Rewards Payment card you will need to return the merchandise to the exact location that you purchased it. If you return the merchandise at another location you will receive Total Rewards Account Credit that you can spend at any of our participating locations.

How do I download the play by TR app**?

Download the play by TR app** on the App Store (iPhones) or Google Play (Android)

How do I verify my phone?

You will receive an SMS text message* with a four-digit code to put into the verification field in the play by TR app**.

How do I link a funding source?

Once you have downloaded the play by TR app**, follow the sign-up flow to add a funding source (TR Visa®, Visa, American Express®, Mastercard®, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit). If you skip this step and want to add a funding source after signing up, follow the steps below.

  1. Choose Account Manager from the home page
  2. Click Add a funding source
  3. Use the play by TR app** to scan your funding source
  4. Enter your expiration date, CVV, full name and address and press Next

What is a valid funding source?

Total Rewards® Visa Card, Visa Card, American Express®, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit.

Why should I link a funding source?

Your funding source will be used to cover the purchase transaction.

How do I remove a funding source?

1. Choose Account Manager from the home page

2. Select Funding source

3. Select Remove card

How secure is my funding source information?

Your funding source information is not displayed in the play by TR app** and your details are kept secure by a third-party Payment Card Industry compliant processor.

Using the App

What is the card lock?

The card lock is a security feature that locks your Total Rewards Payment Card after each transaction. You will receive a text message outlining the details of each transaction and when you click on this text message, your card will be unlocked and ready for your next transaction. You can also unlock and lock your card manually in the play by TR app**.

How do I earn Reward Credits®?

The Reward Credits* earned will correspond to the purchase transaction made with your funding source at participating merchants. You will earn 1 Reward Credit* for every dollar spent on the Payment Card (not including tips).

Note that Reward Credits* may take 24-48 hours to post to your account.

How do I view my receipts?

From the play by TR app**, select Payment Card and choose History to view your individual transactions and click on each one for more detailed information. You will also be sent a notification following each of your transactions with your receipt details.

How do void transactions vs refunded transactions show up in my account?

If you make a purchase and return it later, then one of two things can happen depending on how the merchant processes the return. It can be processed as a void in which you will receive notice of the return right away, or it can be processed as a refund and it may take 24-48 hours for the funds to return to your funding source and the Reward Credits* deducted from your account.

What if I have a problem using my Total Rewards Payment Card or my purchase is declined?

  • Confirm the merchant is participating in the program within the play by TR app**.
  • Confirm your Total Rewards Payment Card is unlocked in the App. To check, login to the App and in the upper right-hand corner you will see the LOCKED/UNLOCKED control.
